Busy weekend! Got cast in a runway show, went to a runway show, AND did a photo shoot! :)Saturday night I went to a runway show at local art gallery, The Honfleur Gallery. And was lucky enough to be escorted by Mr. Bo himself. We ventured into the ghetto, and I do mean ghetto, in Anacostia this diamond-in-the-ruff of a gallery. The space wasn't too big so there was seating for VIP only. Thanks to Bo, and designer, Tamiur for getting me not only in free, but front row seats! This was the first runway show I have ever attended without being in, so it was really a treat to get to sit front row! As far as the art, it was all quite good, by my favorites were local photographer, and total sweetheart, Renee Azcra-Woodard (see my photo shoot with her here) and the above yellow Diane ASrbus-esk photo by Georgetown alumni and spot on Jude Law impersonator, Steve Goldenberg. (p.s. shot out to Bo for wearing the same thing as 'Jude', you guys were real neat in your matching slacks and vests! :) The runway show was filled with great local designers like Dana Ayanna Greaves with my favorite stand out piece, paper bag skirt!! Also DURKL was there, my new favorite local men's clothing line. They don't have chick stuff yet, but I'm going to start rocking the line anyway! You've got to check them out, they're doing big things, and their website is really fun! And of course the man we were there to see, Mr. Tamiur Baig of Mirza Imperial. I got to see the dress in one of my favorite of Bo's shots up close, and it was wonderful! The whole line was stunning in person, and he was a pleasure to meet! Our friend Missy (in the above picture) was great in his runway pass! All in all, beautiful clothing, art, and company! Even Mr Matt Dunn was there, so you know it was a party! :)
