POGO- The next big camera!

Yes, it's printing out of the side of the camera. Finally.

Ahhh I'm so excited about this camera! It's the first ever digital camera that can print pics in seconds!! Ahhh, we all know how much I love Polaroid, this is the 21st century version, and I can't wait until June when it becomes available for purchase!! This must have summer item is 3" x 4.7" and prints 2" x 3" sticky back photos in less than 40 seconds. AND the camera itself has editing software. Snap, take the red eye out, print and stick it on a street sign in less than a minute! Nice. See more about this little love of my life here.

NY Photographer's Insightful Slideshow on Snow

Watch my favorite NY Times Photograher, Bill Cunningham's slideshow here. He's just so insightful and silly. He has fun with photography while talking about social context, our culture, how fashion, location and many other elements play into a great photograph that tells a story. One picture would not have worked as wonderfully as this set does. Seeing 10 or more you really start to think about something as simple as walking off the curb. And, in my opinion, great art takes something simple and talks about so much more. Makes you think... I could talk for ages about Bill's slide show...In essence though-the whole idea to me, has a direct reference to the above Cartier-Bresson image.

Annie Leibovitz Book Signing In DC!!

Annie Leibovitz will be at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue in NW DC on Tuesday December 9 @ 7 p.m!! Her newest book, At Work, discusses portraiture, fashion photography, lighting, and digital cameras. The book describes how her pictures were made, starting with Richard Nixon's resignation and ending with Barack Obama's presidential campaign.

Runway Update #5

Last night we had a fitting for the girls in the 3rd pass. It was, of course, tons of fun trying on all the vintage dresses. I felt like we were all getting ready for prom. Took my camera with me, thought I'd give a little sneak peak. ;) Aren't the girls beautiful?! Everyone thought I looked like Barbie... I'm not sure I'd go that far, but it's always fun wearing a hot pink dress with sequins.

Richard Avedon Show at The Corcoran

Tonight Thursday 11th they are holding a FREE preview of Richard Avedon: Portraits of Power from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM.
