Tim Prendergast and Booshie Design Photo Shoot

Photos from the photo shoot I did last week in DC with Tim Prendergast and my girl Ginger with Booshie Design. We did it in a parking garage in prob 20 degree weather, it was one the coldest shoots I've ever done. But it was suuucchh an honor working with both of them. For the last year I have been wanting to work with Tim, we met at a meet and greet in DC a long time ago and I thought he was such a cool, down to earth guy, and always wanted to shoot with him. And was so excited and thankful he squeezed a shoot in with us! I really love the sexiness, and edginess in his photos and think his work is so, Booshie ;) Hope you like them as much as I do!

The first pic is one of my favorites of all time, and I'll tell you why: Being a 'high fashion' model, none of my pictures are ever overtly sexy, and I have always wanted to have maybe just one sexy picture. Tim and Ginger delivered :) *Note: these are my REAL boobs. Granite, it took Ginger 30 minutes of stuffing and taping to make them look this big, but damnit they are mine ;) Buuuut the hair is not hahhahha. Real boobs, fake hair. Absolutely LOVE this pic!

Second shot, again, thank you Ginger for the boobs ;) This shot was a great collaboration. Tim added the glasses, and Ginger pulled out the gum. Both I think really made this picture work. But it was actually really hard to get! Two pieces of Bubbleicious in my mouth, and to hold the bubble and pose isn't the easiest thing in 6 inch heels and freezing your ass off. But after Tim teasing me enough, we got this totally edgy shot.

So if it wasn't cold enough in fishnets, standing around in practically just a bra and underwear was awesome :) But the below outfit is a true example of how amazing Ginger is. Tim said he wanted to do something 'edgy.' Ginger and I just looked at each other. So she grabbed a garment bag out of the trunk and started stapling. Swear to you, this dress/outfit was made in about 20 minutes and was stapled onto me. She is such a badass. I love the lighting in this, and the parking garage is so perfect in this shot. I on the other hand am balancing in 7inch stripper heels on a about 2 inch wide post.... 'Cause I'm gangster.

After standing out in the cold for about 2 hours I really wanted to vomit. But Tim wanted to do one more look, and I had put the below outfit on to go home in, so we just shot in it. Shirt made by the amazing Ginger, styled by yours truly. Ps I did get hella dirty looks going into the liquor store after the shoot in this outfit. They don't know I'm Booshie ;)

Photo Shoot Recap Of Booshie Designs Shot By Tony Veloz

A snap shot of the 12 dresses shot yesterday
Putting my mullet into full affect in a gorgeous sequin and polka dot dress
Up close and blurry with full make up and a wig on :D
Me behind the scenes in my favorite Cupcake/Alice in Wonderland dress with stripper heels. I loved this look!!
In the background of the above pic you can see make up artist Rachelle Dalton working on one of the other two models. Rachelle was great doing all three of us model's hair and make up, keeping each look unique and fresh! I have never worked with her before, but it was a true pleasure and I love how the looks turned out! :) Working again with Tony Veloz Photography was also a sincere pleasure, he is so fun, light hearted and constructive with direction, but not overbearing it always makes for such a fun and easy atmosphere! Ginger was styling us all, sewing each outfit to perfection, while great music blared though the empty night club. We ended up shooting well past midnight, but we all had so much fun, and everyone seemed to be pleased with there performance, so I can't wait to see the pictures!! Stay posted for Tony's pics coming shortly!!

Booshie Meets DURKL Photo Shoot

Me and my darling Ginger, designer of Booshie (We are both wearing Booshie... Duh :)

Mi amore, Ginger, lead designer of Booshie Design called me yesterday and said get on a plane Saturday because she's flying me out to DC for a huuuggee shoot on Monday!!! :D I love her! She said she has the amazing Tony Veloz on board, who I have worked with before (see blog post here, and an example of our work together below).Ginger also has photographer, Paul Seegars whom I've never met, but am looking forward to working with booked for the shoot! Ginger scored the 18th St Lounge in the posh Dupont Circle area for the location to shoot (see below pic).
Modeling for the shoot will be:
1. Juelles (below wearing Booshie)
2. Ms. Booshie herself, Ginger (below wearing Booshie)
3. Me (below doing the final pass in Booshie's first ever runway show, wearing the same above dress :)
Along with a few other female models! When I heard what a talented group, and location she had set up I was elated, but I knew we could make this even bigger... ;)

I wanted to bring on the best in hair and make up, so Warren (see the many times we've worked together here). And below, Warren on hair and make up, with me wearing Booshie:

Me and the man, Warren himself doing his magic (I'm of course wearing a custom Booshie Tee ;)
Warren will hopefully be on board, but the beautiful, and talent Aja (see blog post here) is definitely booked, can't wait!! Our work together for PR and Partners below:
And where ever I go my side kick, and one of my best friends, Viseral Photography (ie my entire runway portfolio here is done by him) will be there too!!

Below me at the Fashion Fights Poverty runway show, shot by the great Visceral Photography

But I had one more idea, that would take this shoot to epic status... DURKL.

Backstory: I went to a runway show months ago in DC and saw this men's clothing line. In short, they blew my mind. Chill, confident, casual yet fashionable, and I fell in love instantly. Not to mention, the designer came out on the runway with a Corona...that sealed the deal for my love of all things DURKL! I follow their awesome Twitter, and always have them in the back of my mind, hoping that one day they will do women's clothes. But when this shoot came up, I thought this is a match made in heaven, and the perfect opportunity to work with DURKL!! (Not to mention DURKL got second place and Booshie got third for DC's Best Local Designer!! Check it out here) Thus, they two shall meet. Lucas over at DURKL is so nice, and easy to work with, I'm really stoked they are on board, and think they will really gain from working with all the great photogs involved!

DURKL model and designer modeling their designs. Love it.
When I booked DURKL, I had my friend, and fellow male model Gabe (below) in mind. He has, what I think is the perfect Booshie meets DURKL look, (see his portfolio here and see what I mean). He and I met at the Fashion Fights Poverty runway show (see pics here) that Visceral Photography shot. Since that was so much fun, Gabe and I did a shoot (above) with Visceral Photography, so I know Gabe's a great up-and-coming model with a lot of talent, and hopefully will benefit from working with both DURKL and Tony Veloz Photography.

Gabe and I at the model's after party for the above runway show (photo also by Visceral)

So there you have it, an epic photo shoot in the making!! So stay posted, because this is going to be the biggest, best, collaboration DC has ever seen, I'm so thankful to be part of it!! :D

One last pic, one of my fav of me wearing Booshie. Many more to come...

Getting Booshie In Vegas

me in a wig

The dress she was kind enough to let me keep!
Seriously, I'm just a nerd who carries a briefcase full of random shit, wheres a tutu, glasses and walks around in the middle of the day with a drink. Meh.
Ginger and I spent all week collecting random shit to put in my party briefcase
Contents include: loto tix, champagne, squirt gun, dirty magazine, shot glasses, and so, SO much more :D
Ginger and I in the VIP @ LAX wearing Booshie

My good friend, and epic designer Ginger of Booshie Design came out to Vegas this week to visit me and do a photo shoot :D And I'm so glad she did, we had a lot of fun! All the above outfits are her designs, and are unedited pics from super fun photog Jerry (TwoHalfs Photography). We did the shoot last night, and he already send me these proofs!! Ginger did the make up and styling, I did the hair. It was one of the harder shoots I've done because it was soooo cold, 48 degrees :O and I was wearing summer dresses. Yeah, cold. It reminded me of this shoot with Bo in the snow. Anyways, so it's hard to think about posing, expression etc when all you can think is any minute you might die of hypothermia :) But it's really fun to see pictures with Vegas in the background, and I'm so happy my first shoot here was with Ginger! AND she gave me the above black dress to keep, score!! Well, we wrapped the shoot last night at about 10:30pm, then from the shoot Ginger and I went to LAX, an awesome club at the Luxor, and somehow made it into a hidden VIP bar and drank PB & J martinis (that were pretty much and orgasm in a cup!) It was a fun shoot, and an awesome night, the perfect ending to a great week with my girl Ginger :) Stay posted for the edited versions of these!

My BFF And Amazing DC Designer Booshie Design Gets Written Up For Being Hot

Awesome photo collage made by the designer herself!!

I met Ginger, phenomenal east coast designer of Booshie Design, at the tanning salon I use to work at in DC. We've been BFF's since day one and I have been fortunate enough to be involved in, and watch Booshie Designs grow exponentially over the past year shooting with amazing photographers like Tony Veloz, Bo Zhang and Visceral Photography. Above are some shots from the last shoot we did together in an amazing mansion in DC before I left. I added the fun little sayings. You know you love them. See some of the tons of other work we've done together here in these blog posts. Recently she was written up on the hot DC blog MurmurDC.com in this amazing article. Ginger is in Vegas this week and I am lucky enough to get to shoot with her out here in my new town, so stay posted for pics from our shoot this week!!

PHOTO SHOOT RECAP: Bo Zhang and The Crew @ My House

Already a pic!!

Maddy doing the damn thing in her first outfit
My first outfit, with lightning bolt Warren in the background
The polaroid from my house party that inspired it all. (Just wait until you see the pics we did like this!)
Start to finish, Warren makes a piece of art out of anyone! (Me wearing a custom made Booshie tee)
Artist at work
Artist at work.
xoxox Warren
Ms. Booshie herself, Ginger and I
Warren the McGiver's secrets reveled, A TEA BOX!
The culprit. Who knew a tea box could be so fierce?!

They say when you love what you do, you'll never work a day, and last night's photo shoot exemplified that. Great people and a great time!
Where to begin... the whole 'family' was there, Bo Himself, his assistant Joey( he also helped Bo in the jungle shoot), Ginger (Booshie Design), the artist formally known at WarrenBe, and newbies but goodies: stylist and new found neighbor, Natasha and model/new friend, Maddy. What a great, and talented group of people to work with- A true honor!
Warren (who's b-day is tomorrow!!) did both Maddy and I's hair, and make up, so he was busy making us into pieces of art, while Ginger and Natasha were a great team coordinating complete and cohesive looks in my guest bedroom. This shoot elucidates how attention to detail takes good to great. Each person, a master in their craft, put the time and thought into this shoot, and I really think it will show in the pics! Well, the first set we did was a two girl shoot with Maddy and I and the above chair from the polaroid in my backyard. We covered everyone with bug spray, played some fat beats on the ipod player and went to work. It was a fun experience because neither Maddy, Bo or myself have ever done a two girl shoot together. But Maddy's really cool, and Bo was great with direction, so it was a fun, and different experience. Then Bo did individuals with each of us, and on to the next outfit. The second looks were individual shots (the above is an example) with more emphasis on motion, and Ginger's dresses worked immaculately!! After seven hours, we finally wrapped about midnight. I found myself in sweats, sprawled out on the couch with a Natural Light beer in my hand and a tea box in my hair. A success :) Stay posted for Bo's pics!
