Call of Duty 5 Gamestop Event @ Pentagon City Mall

Tuesday night I went to a Call of Duty 5 launch event at Pentagon City Mall. It was pretty funny, me and 100 nerdy gamers.... I guess that makes me a nerdy gamer. :) But they gave out free shirts, hats, dog tags, RedBull, candy, and obviously, pictures. (Yes that's my attempt at a salute). But it was all in good fun, because the Gamestop event was co-sponsored by the USO and a monetary donation was made by Activision to the USO for every copy of the game purchased that night. So not only were we supporting the troops we even got to play against the them, in a real-time, tournament-style competition 6 vs. 6 via Xbox Live. We played soldiers stationed at Fort Drum, NY, and Marines stationed at 29 Palms, CA. This pre-release party, (the official release was yesterday, Veteran's day, quaint for a WWII themed game), only happened at two locations nation wide, a west coast location in Cali, and here in DC. So we played the game before anyone else, got free stuff, and supported the troops. Nice.
(But I've got to say- I like the game better on PS3, and I hate the dogs. You know what I'm talking about all you gamers.)
